* What is a Special Ordered Custom Made Wig?

Please note that this information is just on wigs sold on this website. Wig qualities vary to such an extent that I can only describe and explain about our own wigs.

Custom Hand Made Hand Tied Human Hair Wigs take 12 - 14 weeks and will be designed exactly to your specifications including the hair style cut. Synthetic custom made wigs do not take as long and will likely take 6 - 8 weeks.

The wig caps are designed for personalized customized alterations fitting to your head; if needed, after receiving. However, with a special order custom made wig you will not need to be concerned with the resizing issue.

A wig that is special ordered custom made will fit exactly to your head size and shape according to the head size measurements you give. You get the exact color and length. It is best to provide an Elvis photo of the exact style you wish to have made. Can have side burns made in with wig.

There are several choices made available for a custom made ordered wig. Hair fibers can be 100% human hair, synthetic or human hair blends which is a combination of human hair and synthetic. Much depends on the finances you want to invest. Human hair does need to be blown dry and re-styled when shampooed. Synthetic fibers do look nearly as human and when cleansing all that is needed is shampoo and allow to dry. Human Hair Blends are cared for as synthetic wigs are and there is no need to blow dry or re-style. The benefit of human hair blends is the appearance and feel of the hair and is a better quality of hair since it is human hair combined with synthetic fibers. They have the same ease of care as synthetic wigs. Thus, it all depends on your own preference

Other choices available are 100% hand tied with a monofilament top that allows parting the hair any where and gives the illusion that the hair is growing from the scalp in the entire wig. A monofilament top with weftings for the rest of the wig gives the illusion the hair is growing from the scalp from bang area to the crown and can be parted anywhere.

Special Ordered Custom Made Wigs will last an indefinite period of time.

The cost for the special ordered custom made wigs vary accordingly to what you want to have put in the wig and hair fibers. Synthetic Special Ordered price starts at $850.00 and again depending what you want put into the wig the cost will go up to $1800.00.

What Is A Capless Wig?

Same as an open cap. Has no thick netting whereas the hair will not be as think on top. Entirely wefted cap. Has Velcro or Hooks Sizing tabs at nape. Usually will have the velvet band of fabric along bang area hairline.

What Is A Monofilament 100% Hand Tied Wig?

(Not Custom Made)

This is a wig cap that has no wefts and a normal size Monofilament Top (3 Inches x 5 Inches).

Your brush or comb or fingers will not get caught in the wefts when styling.

Has Sizing taps at nape. Cap is stretchable but will not stretch enough to fit a large head size. Gives illusion hair is growing from scalp throughout wig.

Do they look real ?

All wigs offered on our website as well as the Elvis wigs are very genuine in appearance and authentic to the hair style of Elvis you want to ascertain.

You must get the appropriate cut for the finished look and style by a knowledgeable hair stylist. If you have not a hair stylist, I can cut the wig for you, cutting price $60.00

What wig is right for you ?

Depends on the Era you are Impersonating and the investment you wish to make in a wig. You will want to look at the wig description for hair lengths, sides and back lengths. You will also need a wig that fits!

If you need side burns the wigs with longer sides (covering the ears) are better. With your purchase you are given website links for side burns.

Most of our Elvis Impersonators grow their own side burns and use a temporary hair color to darken them, others have side burns that glue on the skin.

Which is the best wig ?

All of our wigs are out-standing.

Mainly it depends on your budget and desired investment.

Most Elvis Impersonators share their talent on week-ends and have a full time job. Many of the Impersonators are booked far in advance as well as perform in competitions..

In many cases cost is a factor however the better the wig the more it will cost and the better the authenticity. As in all cases, the more costly and comfortable a wig is; as you would expect, is the better quality. This is being consistent with enhanced hair quality and cap design.

Prevalent wig cap designs such as monofilament top, hand tied and hand made; make a wig more priced valued and less costume in appearance.

We do not carry second-rate or less products that will give the impression of being costume or a party style Elvis Wigs that resemble convenience five and dime store quality.

Wig slipping or moving while performing ?

If you are apprehensive about the wig slipping while you are doing a show you can purchase two sided invisible tape that will keep the wig securely on. This will usually cost $10.00 more and is available in a pack of 36 strips.

Typically, there should not be a problem with the wig slipping unless it is too large or too small. If the wig is too small it will not look good on the head at the crown a have a bubble like appearance at the crown or will slide up at the nape.

For each wig offered there are self adjusting sizing tabs in the back at the nape.

Styro Foam Heads

If you would like a Stryo-foam head to store the wig on the cost is $13.00 + $7.00 additional shipping added to the wig shipping due to shipping box packaging size. To purchase a styro foam head separately the cost with shipping is $38.00, again due to box shipping size.

A second option is purchasing a folding wire wig stand. The additional price for a wire wig stand with purchase is $8.00.

Cleansing

Shampooing the wig with the proper products is important for longevity, shine and condition. Shampooing, cleansing and cutting instructions are included with purchase.

How long will the wig last?

The wig should last 1 year to 3 years depending on frequency of use and proper wig cleansing.

It will be time to replace your wig when the cap is no longer fitting properly, the natural shine disappears, it does not style as well and after cleansing the hair does not feel and style as it once did and will tangle.

A wig will last much longer when you use special wig maintenance products and not regular over the counter hair products.

Custom made special orders will last indefinitely.

Cutting your wig

You will want to be sure to choose an experienced hair stylist to custom design cut your wig into the desired Elvis style you are impersonating.

If you do not have a regular hair stylist......with expertise of wig cutting...

THEN

Before you make an appointment for the custom designed cut; go into the salon and talk personally as in a consultation to the stylist who will be doing the cut inquiring if he/she can achieve the cut accordingly to the Elvis photo you show them.

Ask if they can/will dry cut it with a razor. Shear cutting may cause cut marks to show in the synthetic hair fibers. You must be willing to wear the wig while it is being cut.

You can expect to as much as $50.00 to $100.00 for the cut depending on the area in which you live.

Cutting instructions are included with purchase.

As mentioned, I can cut the wig for you before shipped for $60.00.
