Explanation of the Rooted colors:

The rooted colors are darker colors closer to the scalp, while the lighter colors extend up the rest of the hair shaft giving a very natural appearance of color. The rooted color is only about 1/2" to 1", then extends the base color. This coloring effect is designed to give a blending contrast of colors in the example of how our hair looks darker at the scalp then the ends. This fashion of colors are most genuine and attractive in appearances.
